TruckInc ("TruckInc," "we," "us," or "our") provides the TruckInc Dispatch platform (the "Service") to freight brokers, dispatchers, and carriers. TruckInc is a product of, and is owned and operated by, BytesInc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
TruckInc is the data controller for information about your account and your use of the Service. For the operational data your team enters about your own customers, carriers, and employees, your company is the controller and TruckInc acts as a processor on your behalf.
All payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"). Your card number, CVV, and full billing details are collected directly by Paddle and are never transmitted to or stored by TruckInc. We receive only the information needed to service your subscription — such as your name, email address, country, subscription plan, payment status, and the last four digits and brand of the card. Paddle processes your payment data as an independent controller under its own Privacy Notice.
Account information. When you register a company account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and company details.
Operational data. As you use the Service, we store the data you and your team create — dispatch records, carrier and MC lead information, invoices, attendance logs, and payroll calculations — solely to provide the Service to your company.
Billing information. The limited subscription and payment-status data we receive from Paddle, as described above.
Technical data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing faults.
We use collected information to operate and improve the Service, administer subscriptions and payments, respond to support requests, send account-related notifications (such as invoice due-date reminders or password resets), detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you subscribed to); legitimate interests (to secure the platform, prevent abuse, and improve the Service); legal obligation (tax and accounting records); and consent where separately requested, which you may withdraw at any time.
We share data only with providers necessary to run the platform. These are bound by contract to protect your data and use it only to perform services for us:
We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
TruckInc operates internationally, and our providers — including Paddle — may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or UK, it is protected by an appropriate safeguard such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
We retain your company's data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain data for up to twelve (12) months in case you reactivate, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion at any time. Billing and tax records are retained by Paddle and by us for the period required by applicable financial and tax law, typically seven (7) years.
We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and role-based access control — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and any relevant regulator as required by law.
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure your session. Paddle sets its own cookies during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud. We do not use advertising or cross-site-tracking cookies.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent. Residents of California may additionally request disclosure of the categories of data collected and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal data — noting that we do neither.
You can review and update your account information at any time from your Profile page. For any other request, contact us at contact@truckinc.co. We respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are in the EEA or UK and are dissatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
The Service is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice, and the "Last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
